I have worked within the emergency services for 17 years which is a highly stressful and changeable environment. I have strived to maintain an outwardly professional approach to my work as well as continued professional development. I am a highly motivated and adaptable person who can work well in a team and am comfortable working on my own.
I have a passion for the historic environment and archaeology and to complete a degree whilst working full time has been a real challenge. this is testament to my organising skills, which will continue as I undertake a Masters degree.

As a crew manager I am a supervisory manager responsible for six fire fighters. I am responsible for the day to day running of the shift ensuring that all work routines and commitments are met, planning training and community events, incident command and resolving emergencies, ensuring competencies are maintained and crewing.
I attained a 2:1 whilst working and studying full time.
Researched, planned and authored a 10,000 word dissertation providing an interpretation of a mound within Hampstead Norrey's Berkshire. This project entailed managing deadlines, conducting field work, liaising with dissertation co-ordinators and utilising ArcGIS to interpret data including LiDAR and creating an earthwork survey. Findings to be deposited within the Berkshire Records Office and used as a platform for a Masters of Research degree. Dissertation available upon request
I am a PADI Advanced Scuba diver and also dry suit qualified. I have been offered a place on next year's internship to become a dive master with Ocean Turtle Diving.
I am really interested in historic landscapes and enjoy walking within them, I read a lot of publication regarding this subject and use this time to try and understand them
I play the bass guitar, I find this to be a great way to unwind.
