Ambitious, caring and courageous NQT with 3 years overall experience working in the Primary sector. Offering expertise in curriculum development and innovative teaching. Enthusiastic team player looking to 'sprinkle' magic into the minds of children every day, inspiring them to reach their maximum potential academically and socially.
I spent most of my training year at Newtown C of E Primary school, within a Year 4 class. I have also had experience teaching in EYFS/KS1 and within special educational needs.
I have made a large contribution to the planning and development of the Year 4 curriculum, striving to ensure it is engaging and rewarding for all children. I consistently promote high expectations for learning and behaviour, establishing a safe and positive climate for the children in my class.
For my training year, my main placement was spent at Newtown C of E Primary School, where I will also be an NQT.
Second placement was at a special needs establishment for 6 weeks, working with children who have multiple learning and physical needs (ADHD, ASD, PMLD and SEMH). I took a lot of ideas away from my time there and implemented them into my main placement.
Developed professional relationships with Secondary schools to assist the recruitment of teachers and assistants.
Worked within a year 3 class as a Learning Support Assistant, mostly working with children who have special educational needs and SEMH. I developed specific interventions to help with the progression for English (spelling and grammar) and Maths.
Before completing my degree, I was successful in getting a part in 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat' for the 2015 UK tour.
