  • Liase and discuss with other outside shareholders the referral process for admissions and discharges, ensuring the criteria is fully adhered to. This is to ensure the smooth transition for each individual.
  • To ensure rota cover is safe for the number of clients being cared for, also the safety of staff to ensure manual handling is minimal, and staff are able to operate equipment safely.

  • Support staff with HR or personal Issues ensuring policy guidelines are fully met.
  • To ensure all staff training is up to date, and complete regular supervisions and annual performance appraisals. Recognise poor performance and act accordingly within policy guidelines.
  • To chair case conferences when appropriate.
  • To evaluate continuous service provision.
  • To recruit, induct, new members of staff.
  • Chair staff meetings.
  • Hold budgets, and monitor them to ensure no overspend.
  • Ensure adequate supplies and provisions for each individual.
  • Apply a good understanding of legislation including the 1984 Registered Care Act.
  • Knowledge of HASAWA, COSHH, Basic food Hygiene, safeguarding vulnerable adults, deprivation of liberty, care standards and notifications.
  • To undertake risk assessment's to ensure the safety of staff and clients.
  • Ensure the maintenance of the premises identifying repairs needed and negociate finincial cost.
  • Maintenance of the premises through hygiene, cleanliness, furnishing and safety maintenance are fully met within the registered homes act and care standards are fully met.
  • Responsible for the implementation of notifications to care standards.
  • Dealing with complaints and confrontation.
  • Establising good working relationships with other outside agencies and GP,s through regular meeting.
