I have been working within the food and hospitality industry for over 12 years working in various roles but mainly focussing on kitchen management and actively working as a chef.
Over the years I have honed my culinary skills through various roles most recently running my own successful business The Green Goat Café . I have experienced a multitude of different catering scenarios, catering for large groups in different situations where adaptability, compatibility and team work are paramount.
To date I enjoy working within the community for local events, I run a market stall every Wednesday here in Machynlleth and also design menus and batch cook for local businesses .
I feel that I would be a perfect candidate for the job as I have extensive experience in the catering field, I am highly experienced in kitchen management, the ordering of stock and menu planning .
I pride my self on my wide range of knowledge of world and traditional cuisines, also enjoying baking. I understand the needs of various dietary requirements and also hold up to date health and safety certificates and currently hold a 5 star food hygiene rating for The Green Goat.
I currently run my own catering business The Green Goat Café ,
here I specialise in the creation of world and traditional flavours using locally and ethically sourced produce. The business was born from both my partners and my own passion for real flavours sharing and recreating the exciting tastes and recipes experienced on our travels.
The café has allowed for many different catering experiences managing staff , training staff, planning menus and budgets and feeding anything from 10-600 people in a day. Liaising with prospective clients and employers, which often involves planning the construction our kitchen on location. This has also proved valuable when having to adapt to new situations and with developing an excellent rapport with my valued customer base.
I am also no stranger to the heavy work that can also be associated with catering/kitchen roles.
