The current School where I attend is the setting I have been going to for two and a half years voluntary. In this setting I have worked with Nursery and years 1-5. From this I have gained many skills working with different age groups and abilities. My knowledge of SEN has greatly improved over the last year due to working one on one with many children who have special educational needs. After gaining my level 4 qualification in Childcare, the School offered a supply Teaching Assistant role which required me to work in many different classrooms. Nearly always I have worked with children who have SEN therefore I have learnt more how to deal with situation's and differentiating for that child. Due to the long period of time at the School, I have gained many relationships with the children and staff.
Working as a Customer Assistant for Tesco has enabled me to gain many life skills such as communication and social skills. Since working for Tesco, my confidence has vastly improved and I can now talk to anyone after understanding what interests them. The responsibilities I had was taking care of money, serving customers, putting out and putting away stock and any other jobs to help the store. After working in a superstore for a year and a half, I moved to a smaller express store which offered more hours and flexibility. Here, I often received customer feedback commenting on helpfulness and politeness.
