While working as a Teaching Assistant at the Ark Elvin Academy with five years' experience, my responsibilities involve supporting students in the SEN Department with Autism, Dyslexia, ADHD, Behavioural issues, and those with English as an additional language (EAL), and I have supported a number of Autistic students who have gone to Year 12 and studying A levels.
Over the years I was involved in various additional duties at the school voluntary, doing such things as Lunchtime duties, after school clubs, school trips with all year groups, after school intervention sessions, doing Phonics with flash cards, being hands on resource's and creating a the variety of learning materials for Year 7 and Year 8, Art and Design, with Year 10 students, Design and Technology with Year 11 and in the Music Department. I also invigilate End of Year Examinations each year and was an exam amanuensis
I would like to continue to use my experiences to benefit students who want to learn. I am enthusiastic about supporting the progress and achievements of young children.
Key Modules: 2D- Painting, 3D- Ceramics Sculpture, 4D- moving images with Poems, Work Experience, Willesden Library Gallery and Studio Practice in 2nd and 3rd year. Dissertation topic: British War Artists of the First World War. 10,000 words. Group work and creative projects.
