I am currently in my second year at Plymouth University where i am studying a BSc in Business Management. I enjoy and work confidently as a member of a team or individually and thrive within high pressure environment's looking forward to challenges that I am faced with. My broad business education, supported by the development of both transferable and wider transferable skills acquired through work experience and extra-curricular activities have ignited my enthusiasm and dedication to pursue my business career at university and beyond.

Within my Business BTEC, I spent a week's work experience at a local established estate agent. Here I had the opportunity to manage customer enquiries and learn how to interact with both coleague's and customer queries. This experience highlighted how important lateral communication is between a business and its stakeholders, whilst also bringing to my attention how different enquires must be handled in a variety of ways dependent upon the situation.
Over the years, I have gained various work experience through part time jobs mostly working in the private sector which heavy relies upon customer service and satisfaction. When working as front of house in a hotel, the role demanded a confident individual, within a high pressured environment and developed in me the confidence to pursue my business career further. I was also given the responsibility to train new employees, which displays the high degree of trust that my employers have for me.
Achievement of goals
•Whilst studying my Business Btec at college I endeavoured to ensure I would gain nothing less than 3 Distinction* which I later gained. Having this goal from the outset meant that I instantly strove to be the best I could be and all pieces of work submitted would be done to the best of my ability. Within this time I also looked to stretch myself with Employment as I was working 30hr weeks alongside a full time course, this ensured that my time management was impeccable due to juggling both aspects of my life at one given time. It also allowed me to improve working in high pressure environments as time was always important to me. I feel that I exceeded all my objectives I had set for myself as I gained Distinction* in the 19 topics I was covering and also gained a solid foundation of savings for university.
•Due to my strong efforts at college recognition was given in the shape of an academic excellence award through achieving 120 UCAS points over my unconditional offer, my name was then added to Plymouth University's Dean list award.
Planning and organisation skills
•When first arriving at university I knew it was essential for me to ensure that my time management was productively managed. This meant that I had to plan and organise my weeks and months to ensure my time was being wasted and each day was beneficial to my course. I created a time schedule from September-January inserting all exam and coursework deadlines and periods for revision. By doing so this enabled me to gain good grades in all the work I did in that time frame.
I have also gained various transferable skills through academia, work experience and social situation's including:
•Working effectively in a group to achieve desired goals.
•Show initiative and leadership abilities when in group situation's
•Manage and prioritise my workload and time effectively
•Write accurately, clearly and concisely.
•Speak clearly and dynamically in presentation
•Gather, interpret and analyse information.
•Understand and find ways to develop myself.
