I have extensive experience in health and fitness, nutrition and training and development. I worked in the leisure industry and trained up to management level holding a level 3 certificate in ILM management. I currently work for the leading first aid training provider in the UK, delivering and assessing a wide range of first aid and health and safety courses. I am keen to progress further in a role i am passionate about. I am very ambitious and ready for a challenge. I fully devote myself to any job and will always give 100%. I worked as a recreation assistant for four years at Halesowen leisure centre, working for the Local council. My role included lifeguarding members of the public, cleaning duties, receptionist duties and also took on a role as trainer assessor for the local council. In my time at Halesowen leisure centre i gained qualification's in first aid, fitness and gym instruction, AED and attended many other courses.
I was re-deployed to Crystal leisure centre as a fitness instructor in 2008. My professional development continued and i went on to do my ILM management level 3 as well as gaining 100% pass rate as a trainer assessor for Taylor made training, the councils training provider. I taught many first aid courses as well as AED.
As a fitness instructor my job was to motivate people to get back to good health, lasing with the local cardiac programme, Action heart. As well as being a fitness instructor i also created risk assessment, emergency action plans, training schedules for staff and Normal operation procedures for the gym at the crystal leisure centre. I also created a new rota for gym staff to suit the business.
I am currently working as a trainer assessor for St John Ambulance. This is a very rewarding job with plenty of training opportunity. This job includes teaching members of the public life saving skills as well as skills in health and safety. I teach a wide range of courses such as FAW,EFAW, Fire Marshal, paediatric first aid, Manual handling and many more. This job has turned my interest to working in health and safety.
