After leaving school whilst job interviews were ongoing I decided to work within a family run self employed business over a 6 month period.
It was a 6 day (45 hour) week completing gardening and foundation tasks for clients. Day to day tasks were general labouring, lifting and helping out using basic tools and machinery.
Although it was just to earn some money and to help the family out I believe it was great experience and practice before starting work, understanding the importance of PPE, being punctual and also efficient.
