I am a dynamic young lady currently undergoing four AS level courses at Watford Grammar School for Girls after passing all twelve of my GCSE's at the Grey Coat Hospital School. During my GCSE's I successfully combined my studies with other commitments showing myself to be self-motivated, organised and capable of working under pressure. I have a clear, logical mind with a practical approach to problem solving and a drive to see things through to completion.Being manager in my Young Enterprise team I have learnt how to convert failures into lessons and success. I enjoy working on my own initiative or in a team. As leader and initiator of the Gospel choir in Watford Grammar School for Girls I have learnt how to interact with the choir enables us to develop and achieve.I plan to go to university after a gap year of volunteering to study Technical Textiles.

Within Monique's Grandmothers business she has assisted her with decoration and planning jobs since the age of 6. The job entails planning weddings, parties, christenings and funerals and well as decorating them and ensuring everything runs smoothly on the day.
Monique was employed by her school on two occasions to register, greet and supervise year 6 students during 11+ entrance exams.
As a part of the youth events management team Monique helped organise many youth events within the borough including youth parties and debates attended to by the Mayor of Brent and local MP's.
Monique assisted the design department at Marie Chantal for a week. During this time she created mood boards, did market research, quality checked clothing and used adobe design to polish up garment sketches.
Monique cleaned glasses lenses on display, organised customer data, bought lunch and snacks and greeted customers upon arrival.
I have been involved in a wide range of activities from textiles to music, sport and science, however I mostly love help communities and work with other to reach success. In my gap year I plan to travel abroad with International Citizens Service to help a less economically developed country progress by building stronger communication skills and networks within their community.After this I plan to attend university to study Technical Textiles where I will learn to create textile fabrics with special properties which will help to develop the world of medicine and aid people in need.
